Myrandson has a growth just below his vocal chords. It is a white mass. News today from a Tacoma WA specialist was that he is 80% certain it is cancer. He wants to do another test next Tuesday, and also wants to check for cystic fibrosis. To top it off, my son (baybys father) just got layed off from his state job. My family is suggesting a 2nd opinion from Childrens Hospital in Seattle. Where can I go to get the best information and possible help for my son and his son?
in my opinion this could be laryngeal papilloma. what is age of child? these lesion are not malignant, they recur again and again, require removal time to time. final diagnosis can be made only by biopsy and histology. cancer in children is very rare, biopsy is necessary to confirm. I would recommend you to see an ENT specialist nearby.
