What Causes A Hard And Painful Lump Inside The Tongue?
For the last couple of days I have had a hard and painful lump inside my tongue (about large pea size)-it is not visible from the top or bottom of my tongue, but is very uncomfortable. I have had 3 transphenoidal brain surgeries for a rare Giant cell tumour of the clivus, and had 33 sessions of IMRT. So a lump like this is worrying me slightly.... could it just be an internal ulcer or something? I am a 33 year old Mum of 1. Kind regards Heidi

I really appreciate your concern, such tongue lesion need to be investigated as long as your old history is concern and better to get done the imaging study, and biopsy too, at the most you can wait for some time and keep this lesion under observation, hope this information helps, take care.
