What Causes A Hard Lump On Gums After Wisdom Tooth Removal?
Hi, I got my wisdom teeth removed this Tuesday and now I'm suffering from a medium-sized stone hard lump on my right cheek. It is not located near the extraction the zone but rather more towards the middle of my cheek. What is this and how do I get rid of it
Understanding your concern. As per your query hard lump on gums after wisdom tooth removal is because you underwent traumatic extraction procedure with massive instrumentation. Severe inflammation and pain, swelling, redness and lump like swelling is very common after wisdom tooth extraction. Bone cutting and tissue damage during extraction process and force used for tooth removal caused all this. Nothing to worry about it. I would suggest you to wait for three to four days it will resolve its own. Take painkillers and combination of Ibuprofen and Diclofenac. You can apply ice packs over cheeks to reduce inflammation. Visit dentist if your symptoms keeps on persisting. Do warm saline gargles.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
