What Causes A Hearing Loss After Hit By A Basketball?

I got hit by a basketball on the left face. My hearing was okay but next morning, I had tinnitus and hearing loss. I went to the ENT but there are nothing wrong with my eardrum. They performed a hearing test and the result showed that my left ear is completely loss. He then ordered a MRI and prescribed steroid, antiviral and antibiotic. It has been 7 days since taking the medications but there are not much improvement. I really want to know what's wrong with my ear. Will I be able to regain my hearing?
