General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The causes I can think about are as follows:
- Problem with cerebellum that is part of brain at the back part like tumour or so
- Cervical spondilitis like problems causing reduced blood supply to the ear part
- Imbalance of fluid in one of the 3 semicircular canals on one side situated in mastoid

It can be complicated to get a proper diagnosis hence I would advise you the following:
- Consult another ENT surgeon for preliminary examination and ENT related to check up to see whether the problems are related to ENT problems
- If there is no ENT problem then consult a neurologist for proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations, which would be MRI of cervical spine with angiography for carotids, vertebral arteries
- All this will give a proper diagnosis hence allowing a specific treatment

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
