hi i was told my 6 month old baby has a cyst in one of his kidneys, we are going to see a specialist next month but i cant wait until then to know how and if it will be treated. the specialist wants to see him 2 months after he had gotten an ultrasound. while i was pregnant he had fluid in one of his kidneys and we were making sure it was gone but now he has a cyst. is that what caused the cyst? please help
A cyst in the kidney is not dangerous if it is a small one. The cyst can be congenital and small cysts do not interfere with the normal functioning of the kidney.
However, you need to consult your pediatric surgeon for assessing the site and size of the kidney cyst.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
