What Causes A Knot On The Left Side Of Neck?

I have a small knot on the left side of my neck towards the bottom where it meets the top of my shoulder. I generally have neck pain when first waking up in the morning and late at night and occasionally while driving. The knot does not get bigger. Its been there for a few weeks. Also, I do have a lot of phlegm , so I dont know if it could be linked to some sort of sinus infection

Hello

Please meet your doctor as a knot/swelling in the neck in the region you have described can be due to something more sinister/dangerous and needs to be evaluated properly. He may ask you to do a couple of blood tests and xrays , please dont ignore this can meet your doctor soon.
