What Causes A Large Red Itchy Rash On The Upper Leg?

I have some kind of bite on my upper leg and it is considerably large and itches if Benadryl spray isn t applied. I live in CT and I do have mosquito bites on my leg and at first I suspected this was also a mosquito bite but I m worried of a tick bite. There is no prominent bulls eye but it s enivadably a red bite. It is tender feeling but I remain unsure.

Hello,

It could be an insect bite according to provided history. You can take Benadryl or levocetirizine like antihistaminic drug for that after getting prescription.

Topical application of calamine lotion also can be helpful. Avoid frequent scratching in that affected area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
