What Causes A Large Swollen Rash Around The Bug Bite?
I have a bug bite on my arm. When I was but and looked down it looked like a small gnat type bug however it has turned into a large bite that s swollen and has a rash around it hats spreading. I took benedryl last night and put cream on it and this is what it looks like from yesterday to today. There is also a lump that s hard but tender to touch. It also hurts when I clap my hands....I can feel a little pain.

Cellulitis changes involving the bug bite site. Usually resolve within a period of 24 - 48 hours, but if concerned, intake of anti inflammatory medicines as ibuprofen (400 mg) 3 times a day after meals and ice application 4-5 times a day will help great and fast recovery.
