What Causes A Larger Right Mastoid Bone Than Left Side?
Hi.. I noticed last night that my son s right mastoid bone is larger than the left side.. is this normal.. he has no symptoms.. he was on growth hormone in the past but was taken off two years ago but I did not see it then.. I just noticed it yesterday when he had a hair cut.. he is 17

If it is like that from birth, nothing much to worry. If there is a recent change in size or shape, you have to consult an ENT specialist and plan for a CT scan for further evaluation.
