What Causes A Leg Blood Mark With Bruising?

my dad ha a small blood mark on his leg looks like a bruise but its made of blood and he hs not banged it or anything so cant be a bruise, he has got a medical bckground of blood clots and did have an anurysm in his brain that burst but has been treated for his. Any idea what it may be? thanks
