What Causes A Lump Above The Left Ear?

I have this medium size bump on the left side of my head above my ear a couple inches that showed up out of no where 2 days ago, it keeps swelling and it is sore to the touch. If touched just right or if I have my hair up for too long it makes me dizzy and my face will feel tingly and numb... what could it be and how can I get it to go away

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the lesion may be an infected area. This is the most common reason for acute onset of pain other than trauma.

If there is no history of trauma to the area, then infection is likely.

It would be best to see your doctor for an assessment which would include a history of the symptoms and examination.
If it is an infection then antibiotics would be needed.

Depending on the nature of the infection eg if it is an abscess, it may need to be incised to allow any pus present to drain.

I hope this helps
