Hi, I fell off a skateboard and landed on my side, and got internal bleeding and it turned into a blue colour bruise after a day,.and now about a week or more later I notice this lump under the skin. The injury is on my right side below the ribcage. Could this be something serious? I searched the internet and thought t could be abdinal hermatoma or something

Hi,

It may be hematoma, which is nothing but a collection of blood underneath your skin following a blunt trauma.

Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself in couple of days.

You can apply ice packs for faster recovery.

If the lump persists, you can go for an ultrasound scan for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
