What Causes A Lump In Epigastric Area Causing Difficulty To Breathe?
I get bad gastritis symptom. And have been on omeprazole for over a month. However, I get this lump in epigastric area which tends to shift upwards sometimes. I literally have to press it downwards to breathe easy. It s not on daily basis- but have noted that it happens when i try to lift something off the floor.could you advice me on this.
Hi It seems that you have been suffering from epigastric hernia. It is a swelling of fat occuring in epigastric region due to a defect in abdominal wall and it is usually symptom free. It may give rise to pain or disconfort while lifting some heavy objects as well as in case of flatulence. You should consult a surgeon in your locality to get it examined. You may also go for an ultrasound examination for it.
