What Causes A Lump On Injection Site?

Hi my sister injected and currently got a lump on her wrist it s quite worrying I was just wondering what s best to do and what it may be and do I need to get her to see a doctor ASAP as she really isn t bothering and don t want too loose a family member from drugs thanks.

Hi,

It may be fibrosis developed after intramuscular injection. Hot fomentation may be helpful to reduce the size. Take step to avoid secondary bacterial infection. There is no medicine to cure it. Take a course of antibiotics to avoid secondary bacterial infection.
