What Causes A Lump On Left Side Of The Buttocks?

Hello, I have had a lump on my left butt cheek that started out about quarter size and now it seems to be getting bigger. I have had this for a while now maybe a year and a half or so. I can move it around and it feels kind of rubber like. I did fall on some wooden stairs and landed right on my tail bone some time ago. Can that be the cause? Can cancers grow like this on your buttocks? Thanks.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have lump on left side of the buttocks . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infection , fracture , haematoma , callus formation , abscess , sebaceous cyst or lipoma . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses , apply sumag dressing at night , keep this area clean and dry and wear loose cloths . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may check physically for consistency and tenderness . Doctor may remove it surgically under local anesthesia oe prescribe antibiotics like clarithromycin along with anti inflammatory .
