What Causes A Lump On Leg While Suffering From Edema In Children?

Hi, my 12 nearly 13 year old son has had odema in the bottom of his leg for probably 4 weeks which I have noticed... he failed to tell me around that time he noticed a lump. He mentioned it to me last night and I felt it, and it is golf ball sized! I m now sooo super worried about it... is there anything it could be apart from a sarcoma or the worst?? I can t get him in today for a scan and I m so worried!! It s not sore but he says he gets a pulling sensation.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is swelling since 4 weeks then it need to be investigated and it can not be left like that only, first is circulation disturbances and second musculoskeletal condition, infection all of these needs to be differentiated, hope this helps, take care and have a nice day.
