What Causes A Lump On The Index Finger With Tingling Sensation?

I fractured my index finger about 2 weeks ago. For the past week I have had a lot of tingling in my entire hand and a lump in my joint on my index finger. I went to urgent care they gave me a splint told me to keep it on 4 weeks and I m fine. Should I have it looked at again?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Do not squeeze, scratch, drain, open (lance), or puncture the lump.
-Keep the area clean by washing the lump and surrounding skin well with an antibacterial soap.
-Apply warm, wet washcloths to the lump for 20 to 30 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day.
Ifit doesn't go away see a dermatologist.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
