What Causes A Lump On The Neck While Suffering From Thyroid Problem?

Hii I am 2 and half month pregnant..I noticed a lump on the left side of my neck...after 2 days no.of lumps increased...Nw having 3 small lumps on th same side ..I m having thyroid 1.3 ..my dr.told me that this is nt because of thyroid ... presently i m taking antibiotics from last 2 days..bt there is no changes...having pain in lumps...plz suggest me...what is happening to me...it can affect my baby?any thing serious?

Hello,

Not every neck lump indicate thyroid issue, there can be a number of causes for neck lump as
- lymph node enlargement
- bacterial or viral infection

In my clinic, I do recommend a precise antibiotic course with anti-inflammatory medicines with regular follow up and ultrasound evaluation for size regression.

The drugs used are pregnancy category B drugs and will not harm your baby in either way.

So far as you are under the care of an expert doctor, do not get afraid that lump will pause problems to your baby also.
