Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i recently got hit in the right side of my nose by accident with a full 2 liter bottle and aside from the obvious fact that my nose is definetley broken i have an abnormal lump about the size of a dime now in that particular area where the bottle made impact. the injury occurred about 5 or 6 days ago and i have not seen a doctor
I can understand your concern. When a bone is fractured or cracked, it presents as swelling of the area. As your nose has suffered injury and a lump has formed at the place of injury, there is a very high chance that your nasal bone has fractured or cracked and it requires medical attention.
I would advise you to visit an ENT surgeon, orthopedic surgeon or an oral & maxillofacial surgeon for the examination of the injured site and further investigations such as x-ray, CT Scan etc. Treatment can be decided after the test results come.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
