By what you explain there are 2-3 possible causes of the lump that brought out white smelly stuff. 1- it might be an epidermoid cyst. these are fat glands of the skin that may get blocked and fill with the faty material that sometime gets inflamed and brings out white, smelly stuff it is not necessary related to the ball hit. 2- if foreign bodies were put in the skin through that ball hitting you it might create infection locally and drain white smelly secretions. This is very uncommon though and you would have pain 3- Infection of the hair follicle locally may produce abscess that brings out white smelly stuff. This would be very painful What I would recommend you to do: 1- first of all, relax. It is very common to get lumps that leak white stuff at that area, none of the options I mentioned is dangerous. Generally they are minor and self limited 2- cover the area with clean gauzes 3- you will not need to use alcohol or betadine or any other solution there 4- it will leak for few more days and close 5- if you have redness that spreads locally or pain is dominant than infection might be the cause and you might need antibiotics also Hope this helps and answers to your question.
