What Causes A Lump Under My Left Armpit?

Hello I m kinda of concerned about this health problem? Under my leftarm pit I have this bump its kind of hard and soft, it popped and yellowish pus had been coming out, I squeezed it to help the pus come out more and it changed like a light red color then it was kind of bleeding a little bit. It also kinda hurts when I move my arm a certain position. This bump It stops and goes away for awhile then comes back again. Should I been worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a furuncle which is an infection of the hair follicle. I suggest to clean the area with hydrogen peroxide. I also recommend to use Neosporin cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
