What Causes A Lump Under The Skin In Crotch Area?

Have a lump under the skin in my crotch. Does not hurt but feels like a pimple would. When squeezed pus comes out and continued squeezing brings blood with a smattering of tissue or pus. Disappears after a couple days and returns at random times within a couple months.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have lump under the skin in crotch area. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like jock itch , yeast infection , molluscum contagiosum , scabies , contact dermatitis , STD or psoriasis. I would suggest you to keep the area clean and dry , wear loose cloths , apply over the counter antibiotics ointment , do not squeeze the lump and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl . If condition persist then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like blood test or take saample for lab test. Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with corticosteroid ointment and immunosuppressants.
