What Causes A Mass In The Upper Breast Tissue On The Left Side?

My wife had a clear mammogram in Jan of 2014, now she has come home from work and shown me what feels like a medium size firm stationary mass in the upper breast tissue of her left breast, no visible signs of any issues ( she says it feels like a big muscle, yet she s never noticed it before and its only obvious in the one breast) I am concerned.

Hello,
I appreciate your awareness and concerns for such emerging health issues.
The kind of mass you are telling may be a benign lesion.
There is nothing to worry to much for that but you should get a clinical examination done.
And go for a usg scan of both breast. So that we can get clear view of the lump. If in usg we get to know that it's actually a lump not some fatty tissue or muscle mass as you said get a FNAC or tissue biopsy done.
According to above investigation we can go for further management.

Hope I answered your query.
Thanks for trusting us for your health issue.
Feel free to write me for follow up or further queries.
