I have experinced a metallic taste in my mouth out of nowhere this last week which sin't subsiding, tongue numbness and lip numbness as well as today watery zig zag blurred vision for about 20 minutes. And tooth pain. Someone said this could all be secodnary to a severe acute sinus infection?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query your symptoms are indicative of low blood sugar level in your body i.e it could be due to diabetes. Tooth pain could be because of cavity or improper hygiene of oral cavity which can be easily resolved after visiting dentist. Severe acute sinus infection along with low blood glucose level in your body causing these symptoms.

I would suggest you to visit general practitioner once and get your HbA1c levels checked and go for testing of random and fasting blood glucose and start treatment accordingly. Keep brushing twice daily and use Listerine mouth wash. Do flossing twice a week atleast.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
