Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a metallic taste in my mouth for about a week and now have small red sores the size of the tip of a pencil. I at first thought it might be thrush because my mouth looked patchy inside with odd red patches at the very back. I have an autoimmune disorder HSP
So first of all you should get a clinical examination done along with oral swab culture for ruling out infection.. Treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can gargle with specialised mouthwash like Magic Mouthwash.. You can chew sugar free flavoured chewing gum.. You can suck ice pops or rinse with cold water to reduce inflammation.. Avoid spicy and irritant foods as they can increase inflammation and pain.. You can also take Vitamin B complex supplements..
Hope this information helps..
Regards..
