What Causes A Missed Period With Negative Pregnancy Test?

I ovulated on Aug 10th, 2011 and am asked to take strone tablet and allylestrenol (gynonys) for next 16 days, It is now Sep 3, 2011 i did not get my periods and home pregnancy test shows am not pregnant. I do not have any pregnancy symtomps. please help me what could be the reason
