What Causes A Missed Period With Vaginal Heaviness?

I am 49 years old, missed my period last month. Just got my period today. Had a 30 minutes walk. after a shower I was in the kitchen and could not stand felt my vagina very heavy. Sitting on the bed I dont feel any pain. I will be going to the gynaec as soon as I finish my period what precaution shud I take until then. Not had sex in 2 years
