What Causes A Multiloculated Solid Growth On The Right Ovary?
Hi. Im.31 years old and i recently went for a transvaginal utz/ gynae scan. This revealed i have a multiloculated solid growth on my right ovary about 5x6cm. When another doctor another scan it turned that it was on my left and it is bigget become 10cm. The first doctor tested me for CA 125 which tburned out to be normal. Butmy current doctor wants to have a laparotomy and cystectomy witj frozen section. I am.very scared of what they are tryi h to do to me. Im so weak and helpless. Pls help. Thank you
It seems that you have ovarian cysts. It is important that at which time of your cycle, the scan has been done. In mid-cycle, there are multiple follicles which release eggs and these follicles look like cysts.
You should not worry because ovarian cancer marker CA125 is negative. To such patients of mine, I would suggest a CT before going for laparoscopy.
You don't need a laparotomy and cystectomy as the purpose can be sold by a laparoscopic surgery which will be less costly, reduce hospitalization, fewer chances of infection and is a daycare procedure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
