Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a spider bite ,it was just a rashy looking thing that happened . but very painful felt like burning and stabbing pains . it s been about 5 days now it feels like an itchy bee sting and bruising. But when I feel my skin there it feels shiny or sticky. Why would that be?
As per your complain it seems that your spider bite site is infected leading to shiny and stickiness and also pain. Itching is due to allergic reaction caused due to injection of the toxin caused by the spider bite. Nothing to worry as with proper management it will be resolved soon.
As of now you can start applying Triple antibiotic ointment over it. Do cool compresses over it. You can also take anti allergics like Levocetrizine to stop itching and also take a short course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers by consulting a local physician.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks and regards, Dr. Honey Nandwani Arora
