General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Painful black spots in the groin are commonly fungal infections (Tine Cruris). He can take a course of fluconazole & apply Clotrimazole cream in the affected area.

It should get reduced. However, you are suggested to get your husband clinically examined by a GP.

Since he is sexually active he should get STD tests done to rule out any STI infection to stay on the safer side.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
