Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a painful lump over the gums can be due to a few common causes like a
Dental Abscess, a gum abscess or a gum boil etc..
Bit in case if your wisdom tooth is not completely erupted it might erupt in wrong direction and can apply as a bulge which is not an uncommon thing for wisdom tooth.
But a confirmatory diagnosis can be given out after a thorough clinical evaluation and treatment can be planned only after that..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician soon and get evaluated and he can also advise you an IOPAR (
x Ray) to rule out the exact cause of the lump and treat accordingly..
As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen or
Naproxen for pain relief..
In case if it is a lump due to wisdom tooth, extraction will be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
