What Causes A Painful Bump On The Finger?

I have a bump that appeared on the back of my finger approximately 6 months ago and it is not going away. I ve had cyst or acne like bumps for years in this exact spot that would come and go over a period of a couple of weeks. This bump will not go away. What am a dealing with?

Finger lumps can be caused by any number of conditions, including infections, inflammation, tumors or trauma. Depending on the cause, you might have single or multiple finger lumps that are soft or firm, painful or painless.
