I have something on the end of my next to my big toe that grows like big calis that gets hard as a rock. It s very painful. I dig it off and it is brown, in about 1 to 2 weeks its back. I know it is a hammer toe but it grows and then when I dig it off the pain is better. What is that growing on my toe!

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

Calluses (hyperkeratosis) are painful areas of thickened skin that develop when the skin is exposed to excessive pressure or friction. It is impossible to find what is growing on your toe without a careful examination of your skin in your toes.

For this reason I suggest to consult physically your local doctor for the right diagnosis and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Elona Xhardo,
