Hi I have a weird rash between my thighs (underwear line) and on top of my vagina. I have no itching or pain. I m wondering if this is due to my laundry softner. I wouldn t say it is red it is just a darker color? It isn t consistent it is splotchie.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your rash could be due to allergic/contact dermatitis, fungal infection.
Take following advises:
wash affected part with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vinegar.
Wear pure cotton loose inners
Avoid perfumed soap and cosmetics
Use antibacterial soap
Apply cetaphil cream regularly once daily for 8-10 days
If not resolves then consult the dermatologist and undergo detailed examination and investigations like KOH mount from the skin scraping and STD screening test to rule out fungal infection and STD infection.
Fluconazole and clotrimazole ointment will help
Hope this may help you
