Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Hot flashes and day-night sweats can be due to fall in hormones due to menopause. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for prescription of hormone replacement therapy. Knots on head and neck along with sharp shooting pain can be due to nerve related tumors or growth. I suggest you to consult your surgeon for clinical assessment, diagnosis and thus management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
