What Causes A Painful Lump Behind The Left Leg Knee?

I have a lump that has come up on the inside bend of my knee on my left leg. My leg has a dull ache. also when I bend my leg back it is painful or when i try to kneel on it. This has just come up in the last 2-3 days. Is this something that I should go to the ER about or is it okay to wait to see my dr. ? I have an early appt. on Monday to do the 1st day of a stress test. I do have heart issues and already have 3 stents in place. I m worried this could be a blood clot. However I do take Plavix. Shouold I go to the ER tonight or not?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, knee is very fragile unit, in your case lump may not be the reason for your pain, but it could be arthritis condition just to ruled out the underlying cause it is advisable to see the doctor because it may needs clinical examination and imaging studies hope this information helps.
