General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
What you call a lump under diaphragm seems to be gas collected under it. The pain would resolve after the gas gets absorbed. Please don't worry.
It's a normal thing after opening the peritoneal cavity especially under scoot operation has is instilled in the cavity to have clear view of appendix.Medicines are already given to facilitate absorption but still if it's troublesome talk to your treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
