What Causes A Painful Lump On The Side Of The Neck?

I have a lump on the left side of my neck where my pulse is and it hurts to turn, talk, pretty much anything I do and it s been there for the past 4 days and ice taken ibuprofen to take care of any swelling and it didn t work so inhale no idea what it is

Hi,

There are many causes for left sided neck swelling like an enlarged lymph node, a branchial cyst, lymphoma etc. Please get an ultrasound done for the swelling and later if indicated, your doctor would advise you to get test like FNAC (a type of biopsy) done or may advise some more tests depending on the finding of ultrasound.
