Hi,
Noted your history of pain in abdomen and lump also.
Hence It is imperative to know the exact diagnosis for the lump which may or may not be related to the pains.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult a General Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations.
Ultrasonography of abdomen, pelvis and abdominal wall can help to confirm a clinical diagnosis.
The causes can be as follows and needs treatment as per the cause found:
Abdominal wall
hernia with intermittent obstruction can cause swelling and pain.
Lipoma or any form of
cyst.
Once the diagnosis is confirmed surgery may be required to deal with the swelling and pain will pass off if the lump was related to the pain in abdomen.
If the swelling is due to lipoma or sebaceous cyst, it can not cause pain inside of abdomen so needs to know the cause of pain in abdomen which can be related to intestines and other parts and treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
