Hi..
I have gone through your query and will try my level best to solve your problem..
A lump below the chin can be due to two main reasons;
1.It can be due to
swollen lymph nodes which can be due to infected teeth and the infection from teeth can cause infection in the regional lymph nodes causing swelling.
When antibiotics are taken to reduce the infection the symptoms of infection can get reduced but the lymph nodes can take a considerable more time to reduce in size and it should not be worried about..
2.In case if infection is not the cause swelling below the chin can be due to swelling in the submental
salivary gland which is a major salivary gland and the swelling can be due to infection in the gland or blockage of duct of the gland due to stone formation in the gland and the obstruction in saliva flow causes backflow and accumulation of saliva in the gland and can cause swelling and pain..
You should consult your
dentist and get a checkup done.
In case of infection as you are already taking antibiotics the swelling will gradually go away as infection subsides..
In case of salivary gland stones removal of stones either manually or if not possible manually surgical removal can be easily done..
