What Causes A Painful Protrusion Behind The Left Ear?

Hi, I have developed a painful protrusion behind my left ear, the pain feels like a bruise and by touching the area near it, it hurts. I am also having headache and mild diarrhea. Should I be concerned? I constantly have neck sore since about a year ago. Are these symptoms related?

Your concern is appreciated, the most likely condition could be the lymph node swelling and it may be due to infection so caused the other symptoms likes headache, and tenderness, although clinical examination is the option to get this confirm but it can be managed with Tab Ibuprofen 200 mg three times in day, diarrhea could be nonspecific and it may not be due to this, and it is nothing to worry but take care for dehydration else it will come around on its own, hope this information helps.
