What Causes A Painful Spot And Bruises On The Leg?

I fell last Friday on my shin. I have bruises which do not really hurt but I have a spot in the middle of my leg that is very painful still to the touch and if any pressure is applied as in trying to stand or lying down. Sometimes even a simple movement causes pain. Could it be a chipped bone? I can walk. It is somewhat painful but not to the extent that I can not walk at all. It is slightly red and warm to the touch.

Hi.
As per your case history you are soft tissue infection.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
