What Causes A Painful Swollen Bruise On The Left Arm?

good evening I had an over dose near 2 months ago now and that same day I was given an anit sickness jab at top of my left arm and I know it would swell and bruise for a bit as I was told after like 2 weeks it was still the same and hurting and was given a week of flucloxacillin tablets and algesal cream to take but the cream kept burning my arm and now pat 2 weeks or so it has turned from a dark bruise to like a deep cut as only way I can describe it I know I have not caught the bad area as it is very dedicate to touch, any idea how this has turn from one thing to another as doctor isn t very helpful. Thank you

Hi,

Noted your detailed history.
It indicates that you have got an infection deep within and thus I would advise you the following in such a situation;
Consult a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation.
Go for relevant blood tests.
Ultrasonography of the area to see if there is any collection deep within.
Get the incision and drainage done if there is any pus inside and have regular dressings and antibiotic cover.
This will help to get an early cure.
