What Causes A Painfully Swollen Thumb?

I have pain when I try to pick up things and move my thumb around the area is sometimes swollen and painful I have tried aspercreme and vinager applications and it is often releived but the only thing that has helped today is noxema I believe it is caused by some medication that I am taking for type 2 diabetes and hypertension and also a statin.. I would use Ibuprofen but I don t believe I am supposed to take it with the medications I take Jardiance, amlodopiene, valsartan, metformin, atvorstatin, and metopropol succinate
