Lump on left side of vagina about size of large marble, not painful but noticed it when sitting. Have obviously been searching on line and wondered if it could be a bartholim cyst ? Have had several headaches as we ll as feeling feverish for the last couple of days but no fever when I check it? Also had a bad cold about a month ago that I thought was pretty much gone but still have a dry cough. Am going to doctors next week but am concerned . Also am 53 yrs old so not sure if this is menopausal related. I have irregular periods about every 2 to 3 months. I have no blood in my urine nor am I coughing up blood. Noticed lump 4 days ago and have been having warm baths but have not noticed any change as of yet.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi
Lump on side of vagina is most likely Bartholinitis. Hot fomentation will be helpful. Antibiotic therapy will be required. I would suggest combination of antibiotics like Ofloxacin and ornidazole for such cases. If the lump is not getting resolved then excision will be required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
