What Causes A Painless Pigmentation Gash Down The Face?

Hi, My daughter was staying in Maine and suddenly we saw a mark on her face. It almost looked like a crease where she had slept on a seam of her pillow or something, however, it will not go away and it is not dirt or anything that can be washed. We have tried several times. It doesn t hurt, it doesn t itch. but it almost looks like she was playing Indians and started to paint a line down her cheek like war paint. However, she is 11 and didn t do that. it s a darker color than her skin almost like a bruise, but again doesn t hurt or itch. Any ideas?

Hi.
As per your case history your daughter is mostly having post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation on face.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30.
2. Apply a kojivit acid cream like kojivit twice daily on dark line.
3. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 1 month.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
