What Causes A Penis Sore With Swelling And Irritation?

I have a bit off a problem, at 3pm I noticed a red sore looking thing on my penis, about the index finger nail in size, and swollen, I had intercourse 8 months ago and it s showing up now. But did masturbate at 12 and noticed it when had to use the washroom It s mostly painless (gets irritated if underwear rubs it enough though) doesn t itch or feel like anything and isn t sensitive, but it s mostly concerning since I fear it may be herpes of the such, I looked all over and can t find the name, I d like to know if I should be fine, I m new to this site but if possible ask me questions for more details I may have missed.

Hello,

You are suffering from a red sore on your penis, it is swollen but painless. It gets irritated due to friction with clothing. You are sexually active. Avoid sex for a couple of days while you are being treated. Take care of your hygiene and avoid activities that may irritate the sore. Wear loose fitting soft cotton clothes. Sores on penis are commonly caused by STD (syphilis, chancroids, herpes, genital warts, etc).

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a urologist / GP. Get STD tests done to stay on the safer side, if reports attained are positive, you will be treated with antivirals and antibiotics. Stay away from addictions if any. You can apply ointment Neosporin or Bacitacin on the area affected for relief. Do not share your toiletries with anyone and do not touch or scratch the area affected.
