What Causes A Period To Advance?

Hi, My period is norally very regular..falling about the 23rd or 24th of each month. My last period started on January 23..it was lighter than usual and only lasted around 3 to 4 days. I am a little concerned, because I just started my period again yesterday on February 13, when it's not due until another week and half. What can cause this?
