What Causes A Persistent Blood Blister On The Shoulder?

I have a blood blister right where my collar bone meets my shoulder. It has been there for atleast 2-3 months and it doesn t seem to be gett any bigger or smaller. It doesn t irritate me or look infected, but it just bothers me that it s been there for such a long period of time. What would you suggest? Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Skin lesions that do not resolve in 1-2 months need to be seen with a dermatologist. I would recommend you to first see your local doctor and probably he will refer you to see a dermatologist to have it checked and determine the cause of it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
